If we have just today…just today to make a difference…what would we do…what could we do …what do we want to do?
What is it that pulls at our heart strings…that gnaws on our consciences? Is it global or local …or perhaps is it quite personal?
What stops us from taking the action that our heart dictates? Does its enormity overwhelm us to the point of leaving us paralyzed…or is it seemingly so small and inconsequential that we feel it warrants no action?
Or is it merely a matter of personal economics….lack of time, energy, financial resources?
Have we ever celebrated our inaction?…How about our action?
If we knew that today was our only chance to act…tomorrow…to late…would we act?

Hi Suzi
This is a really interesting question as we are asked do we only do something to experience the outcome (that we possibly would not see in this case) or do we do things because they are important on another level.
I personally would be spending every minute with my loved ones.
Maybe love is the most important thing... or maybe I'm just a tree hugging hippy ;)

Hi Suzi..well, i have spent my entire work day trying to find jobs for others in a very bad economy, so here's what else i will do today..i will hug my kids two extra times for no reason and continue reading your blog when I get home and figure out what else I can do for others and help my heart at the same time. This is wonderful and I love you. You have touched my life in a way that you will never know. Robyn
Julieanne...I think LOVE is the only thing!!!
Suzi
Robyn,
You are truly someone that already does so much for other people....and in that you are a great role model for others.
Thanks for you kind words.

Well said Suzi!
What you have told is one of the most important and symbolic truth, that every one of us ought to remember and realize. But sadly, often it is the otherwise.
I have heard an adage, & I would love to share it with you: "Live today as though it was your last day."
People have been taking their life for granted. Seldom do they realize that, the span of one's life is very short. Just today I was telling a sister of mine, do you realize the fact, that in the coming 100 years; "you & me will not be in this planet." & 100 years is a very minuscule period with respect to the evolution of the earth. & yet people have been taking their lives for granted, as thought they were going to be here forever...
& as for tomorrow, tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow is a very hypothetical word. If something ever comes, then that is the present, this very moment, not nowhere, but NOW-HERE. Even if tomorrow has to come, it can only come as today, present, now.. never as tomorrow... The tomorrow has to transcend as the present and come.... The past, the future, and dreams; there's not much of a difference amongst them... But the present, it stands aloof, and sadly that's what everyone of us tend to miss..
In most of the cases the only thing that stops anything from doing what they want is, FEAR. It may be a conscious or a subconscious fear, but it is fear. Rest all are attributes of fear, whether that be laziness, doubt, lack of confidence.....
Courage is the most important thing in life. Once one is courage, attributes like truth, a never say die spirit will follow on its own accord.
Love,
C.D.
Hi Suzi:
Just today...thanks for the reminder....
Action or inaction ...
Yes, sometimes its enormity overwhelms us...yes, sometimes so small and inconsequential.. yes, a matter of economincs (especially in these times), but your words reminded me that we have a choice.
The celebration is already going on...always...it's a matter of chosing to participate in the celebration. .. by giving... by receiving..by being grateful
...being joyful..by observing and feeling..all things good.
Is not God here, whether or not we chose to believe?
Love,
Sidra
CoolDeep..can you imagine a world with out fear...I know that fear exists to protect us but it has evolved to become that that shapes and guides far to much of our being...it is fear that is our self imposed tether line..aiming to keep us safe yet restricting our full growth and freedom. The very sad piece in this is that we continue to use fear as a teaching tool and motivator.
So my friend...I wish you an aboundence of courage!
suzi
Sidra...thanks for visiting...and your great comments...continue to celebrate!!
Suzi
Hi Suzi,
Thanks for your reply and wishing me.
Wishing you the same.
Love,
CoolDeep
Well, there it is. The question to ponder, and not that any one of us has the answer, but on my side of life, it's quite simple, today is the last day. Each and every day, that is the only way to roll. Honestly, do you know, 100% sure, that you'll be here to do that "thing" tomorrow? Or the next day? The only thing you know 100% sure is that you're here right now and that yesterday no longer matters... So yes, as Suzi asks, What's it gonna be???
Tim...Good...I hope its going to be good...doing Good..feeling good..for today!
